Brent Horner- Lead Pastor
Brent is a B.A. graduate of Laurentian University and a graduate of Master’s College & Seminary. The Horner's hail from Sudbury, Ontario. Pastor Brent and Karen have been at Essex Gospel for 24 years and counting. Brent loves putzin' around the house and yard in his free time. He is the proud grandfather of 5 and enjoys being their "Bubba."

Dawn Walda- Associate Pastor: Worship & Discipleship
Dawn is a graduate of EPBC/Masters College & Seminary. Dawn, along with her husband John, joined Essex Gospel Church July 2024. Dawn spends her time writing, reading, and has a great love for photography and tea parties! Proud wife, mother, and passionate lover of Jesus!

Kaiti Lorantfy- Family Ministries Pastor
Kaiti joined the Essex Gospel team in February 2025. Kaiti is a graduate of Lambton College and Master's Bible College and Seminary. Originally from Petrolia Ontario, she has now moved to serve at Essex Gospel. Kaiti loves art and creativity and has a passion for working with children, youth, and their families. You may often see her out at a coffee shop reading or writing.

Hanna Slater- Media Production & Ministry Support
Hanna joined the Essex Gospel team in January 2021. Hanna graduated from the University of Windsor with a major in communications media & film and a minor in business administration. She has a passion for creating media content that inspires and entertains others. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, travelling, watching anime & reading manga.

Carol Maedel-
Administration
Carol joined Essex Gospel in August 2022. She is a B.A. graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.Ed. graduate of the University of Western Ontario. Carol and her husband, Lonnie, have been married for 27 years and have two amazing sons, an incredible daughter-in-love, and two beautiful grandchildren. When she is not serving at church, Carol loves to spend time with her family, to bake, and to go for long walks.
